- I will do my best to ensure completeness.
- I photograph the records using my professional grade DSLR camera.
- I photograph every page, unless it is completely blank. Even if it only has a stamp on it, I photograph it.
- If the record I retrieve is incorrect due to a fault of my own, I will correct it at no charge.
- I do minimal post-processing, to include straightening, cropping, and slight color correction to produce the most accurate image that I can.
- I do not charge for helping to look up a pension or service record index card.
- If the research is more involved, see my rates for my hourly rate.
- By default, I will look for a pension, CMSR, and carded medical records. If you don't want (or already have) one of the above, please let me know.
- The records will be delivered via a Google Drive link.
- Due to the size of the files and size limitations of Google Drive, records will be kept at the provided link for 3 months, after which time they will be removed. To preserve your records, please download them to your own computer before that point.
- For a small fee, I can send a disc with the images.
- I photograph the documents as they come out of the pension or service record folder. I can make no guarantee that they are in order.
- I try to stick to a 2-week turn-around time, but this time can be affected by factors outside of my control such as holidays, life events, NARA's research hours, and/or closures; weather, etc. I will keep you informed of any delays.
- If I have to use fingers and/or weights to hold down the page, I will ensure that no text is covered.
- I do not flatten the pages under a piece of plexiglass as I find this runs the risk of damaging the paper.
